Description:
Architecture Design Project - "Urban Nexus Hotel"
Project Overview: As part of my architectural studies, I designed the "Urban Nexus Hotel," a multi-functional building that integrates hospitality, commercial spaces, and public amenities within a modern urban context. This project focused on sustainability, efficient space utilization, and innovative architectural design, aiming to create a landmark that benefits both the community and its visitors.
Design Concept: The "Urban Nexus Hotel" was conceived as a dynamic structure that captures the vibrant energy of the city while providing a serene and luxurious environment for guests. The design blends modern architectural elements, emphasizing geometric forms and a facade that balances transparency and privacy.
Key Features:
Site Analysis and Layout:
An in-depth site analysis informed the layout, considering location, accessibility, and environmental impact. The design maximizes space use and ensures optimal natural light and ventilation.
The ground floor integrates commercial spaces and a welcoming entrance lobby, creating a smooth transition from the urban streetscape to the hotel’s private areas.
Architectural Design and Elevations:
Detailed floor plans and elevations showcase a thoughtful arrangement of guest rooms, conference areas, and leisure facilities. The facade combines glass and textured materials for a visually striking appearance.
The upper levels feature a mix of standard rooms and luxury suites, designed with modern comforts and expansive city views.
Structural Elements:
Comprehensive structural plans include sections and elevations that demonstrate the integration of core systems, such as staircases, elevators, and mechanical spaces. The design ensures structural integrity and compliance with regulations.
Interior Design and Space Planning:
Interior spaces blend aesthetics with functionality, promoting collaboration and comfort in conference rooms, open offices, and common areas. Green spaces are integrated to offer relaxation areas amidst the urban environment.
Sustainability Features:
The design incorporates sustainable practices, including energy-efficient materials, green roofing systems, and water-saving fixtures. The building’s orientation and facade reduce energy consumption by optimizing natural light and thermal performance.
3D Visualizations and Renderings:
Detailed 3D renderings provide a realistic preview of the building within its urban context, essential for communicating the design intent and refining the project during development stages.
Outcome: The "Urban Nexus Hotel" project reflects a comprehensive approach to architectural design, balancing aesthetic appeal with functional requirements. This project was a significant milestone in my academic journey, showcasing my ability to design innovative and sustainable architectural solutions while addressing urban development challenges.
